You are setting the environment right for a good night’s sleep. The shades are pulled down, all the electronic devices are off and you’ve sipped on a cup of soothing chamomile tea to bring on the yawns. Did you get out of your pajamas yet? Science and common sense say it’s good to be in the buff when you hit the bed.
7 reasons it’s good to sleep naked
#1 BETTER BLOOD CIRCULATION
If you’re naked like the day you were born, you won’t have all those annoying pajama strings around your waist, T-shirt folds, tight lingerie or socks to block your blood flow. Women aren’t wearing that constricting bra which is pretty much on for the entire day. Naturally, blood circulation throughout the body is way better.
#2 BODY CONFIDENCE
You don’t need scientists to tell you that the more time you spend naked, the more comfortable you are in your own skin.
Tip: Just before switching off the lights, take a good look at your naked self in the mirror (preferably full-length) and appreciate every part of your body to tame the demons of self-consciousness.
#3 YOU SAVE MONEY
Sleeping in the nude save cash since you don’t have to worry about buying night suits and have less laundry to do.
#4 BOOSTS SEX LIFE
If you’re living with your spouse or partner, being in the buff makes it easier to have full body contact while cuddling. Of course, all that warm cuddling makes the sex better, not to mention the sleep thereafter and the feeling of comfort since your brains are releasing serotonin and oxytocin.
#5 LETS THE SKIN BREATHE
If it’s hot outside, it is the perfect excuse to take off all your clothes at night. All those hard-to-reach areas that don’t get air in the day will be aired out since they aren’t covered up. That means fewer chances of skin infections and rashes.
#6 KEEPS YOUR PRIVATES HEALTHY
Sleeping naked means a higher sperm count for men since their testes stays cooler and hence functions better. It’s good news down there for women as well. They have fewer vaginal yeast infections since yeast survives in humid conditions; never in a cool and dry environment.
#7 RANVEER SINGH SINGH DOES IT
The Bollywood actor openly admits in television chat shows that he likes to be befikre in the sack (read wearing nothing at all). “Main toh sooney ke time par underwear nahin pehenta hoon,” he proclaimed in one of his many candid moments.
